Held around 元宵节 (Lantern Festival, 15th day of the first lunar month) with giant illuminated lantern sculptures, dragon and lion dances, stilt walking, and riddles pinned to lanterns (猜灯谜). Zigong in Sichuan runs the best-known modern 灯会.
