history
永嘉 Yongjia was the reign title of 晋怀帝 Emperor Huai of Jin (307–313), who was captured when Luoyang fell. The flight south, remembered as 衣冠南渡 'the caps and gowns crossing south', led to the Eastern Jin at Jiankang (modern Nanjing) and began the shift of China's centre of gravity to the south.
