From 《·平原》: when Qin besieged Handan, Lord Pingyuan of Zhao needed 20 capable retainers to beg Chu for aid. He had 19. Mao Sui, an obscure guest, stepped forward. In Chu he confronted the king sword in hand and secured the alliance.
mistakes
The character here reads suì (not suí). 半身不遂 reads suí. Same character, two very different readings depending on the word.
