mistakes
Verb and noun differ only in the second syllable. Arranging things is 摆设, with a full fourth tone on . The ornaments themselves are 摆设, where that syllable goes unstressed.
usage
Use it for arranging a space so that it looks right: rooms, shop windows, exhibition stands. For simply putting an object somewhere, or is the ordinary verb.
