A 20th-century philosophical movement reviving and reinterpreting Confucian thought in dialogue with Kant, Hegel, and Western liberalism. Major figures include 熊十力, 牟宗三, 唐君毅, and 杜维明. Largely developed in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and overseas after 1949.
