2indexing radical for characters showing both hands lifting or holding
Tips
history
廾 is a pictograph of two hands raised together to hold or present something. It is rarely seen alone but survives as the bottom component in 弄 (lòng/nòng, to play with), 弊 (bì, abuse/harm), and 弁 (biàn, a kind of cap).
mistakes
Don't confuse 廾 with 廿 (niàn, twenty). 廾 has a curved bottom suggesting cupped hands; 廿 is a flat-bottom horizontal joining two ones.
