尞 is the old form behind 燎 (to set ablaze) and is not used on its own today. It is a productive phonetic root, giving the sound in 燎 (to burn), 僚 (colleague), 寮 (hut / dormitory), 撩 (to tease), and 疗 (to treat / cure).
