Tips

history
Modern 南安 is best known as the birthplace of Ming-era general 郑成功 (Zhèng Chénggōng, Koxinga), who drove the Dutch out of Taiwan in 1662. The city also gives its name to one of Fujian's major stone-industry clusters.
usage
Write the apostrophe in pinyin: Nán'ān, not Nánān - the apostrophe marks the syllable boundary so readers don't parse it as "nā-nān".

Stroke Order

nán
