One-syllable adjective + 乎乎 + 的: 热乎乎 'nice and warm', 胖乎乎 'chubby', 傻乎乎 'dopey', 黑乎乎 'pitch-dark'. The form is vivid and a little affectionate, so 胖乎乎 is cute where 胖 alone can be rude.
usage
Also written 呼呼, as in 热呼呼. It has nothing to do with the classical question particle 乎.
