In an art shop 丙烯 means acrylic: 丙烯颜料 is acrylic paint and 丙烯画 an acrylic painting. It is short for 丙烯酸, acrylic acid, the base of the paint's binder. In chemistry it is propylene, the three-carbon alkene: 丙 marks three carbons.
