Tips

usage
Tech-shopping vocabulary. Three common tiers: 标配 (biāopèi 'standard'), 中配 (zhōngpèi 'mid-spec'), 顶配 (dǐngpèi 'top-spec'). Used for phones, laptops, and especially cars.
memory
顶 = 'top / peak' (think 山顶 shāndǐng 'mountain peak') + 配 = 'configuration / matching' (from 配置 pèizhì). So 顶配 = the peak configuration.
