history
Chen Dong (1086–1127) led student protests demanding the execution of the 'Six Traitors' (六贼) who misruled under Emperor Huizong. Later executed in 1127 under Emperor Gaozong for continuing to speak out — remembered as an archetype of the upright scholar willing to die for principle.
