Founded by 邹衍 (Zou Yan), this Warring States (475-221 BC) school combined 阴阳 (yin-yang) and 五行 (Five Phases) theory to explain natural cycles and dynastic change. Absorbed into Han Confucianism and Daoism rather than surviving as a distinct school.
