Beijing's giant
首钢 (Shougang) works moved its iron and steel making out of the city to
曹妃甸 in
河北, finishing in 2010, to clean up the capital's air. The old plant in western Beijing became a park, and its Big Air venue hosted ski and snowboard events at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
