Tips

history
The Water Classic was a short older text on 137 rivers. His commentary expands it about twentyfold to more than a thousand waterways, with the history, legends and scenery along each. Its passage on the 三峡 (Three Gorges) is still a school text. He was killed by rebels in 527 while on an official mission.
