Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill served two terms as British PM and won the 1953 Nobel Prize in Literature for his historical writing, especially 《二战回忆录》 (The Second World War). His 'blood, toil, tears and sweat' speech (热血、辛劳、眼泪和汗水) is widely quoted in Chinese WWII reference material.

Mainland sources also use 丘吉尔 (without the city radical on 邱). Both readings are 邱吉尔; the 邱/丘 difference is purely a style/regional preference. Both characters read qiū.
