猴子. Used affectionately for kids (
小猴儿) much the way English calls a wriggly toddler 'a little monkey.' CC-CEDICT also lists hóu'ér ('little devil') with the
儿 read as a full syllable — that reading is rare and dated; modern speech almost always uses the rhotacized hóur.
