The famous closing line of Du Mu's (杜牧) Tang poem 《清明》 — 'I asked where to find a tavern; a cowherd pointed off to Apricot Blossom Village' — turned 杏花村 into a poetic shorthand for a country wineshop. The Xinghuacun in Fenyang, Shanxi, takes the name as the home of 汾酒 (Fenjiu).
