Named after the Han-dynasty compilation 《战国策》 (Stratagems of the Warring States). The period is the philosophical peak of ancient China. Mencius, Zhuangzi, Han Feizi, and Sun Bin all lived here, and it ends when Qin Shi Huang conquered the last rival in 221 BC.
