心宿 (Xīnxiù, 'Heart Mansion') is one of the
二十八宿 (èrshíbā xiù, Twenty-Eight Mansions) of traditional Chinese astronomy — the 'Heart' lunar lodging in the Eastern Azure Dragon (
东方苍龙).
心宿二 is the second ('
二') and brightest star in that lodging, identified with Antares. In ancient texts it's also called
大火 (Dàhuǒ, 'Great Fire') because of its red color.
