From the Analects 《论语·雍也》: 夫仁者,己欲立而立人,己欲达而达人。 (The benevolent person, wishing to establish himself, establishes others; wishing to succeed, helps others to succeed.) Confucius's positive formulation of the Golden Rule (the negative form being 己所不欲,勿施于人).
usage
Always quoted together with 己欲立而立人. 达 here = reach success / achieve one's goal; 达人 = help others reach the same.
