usage

A supplementary punishment under Article 54 of the PRC Criminal Law. It strips four rights: voting/standing for election, freedom of speech/press/assembly, holding public office, and holding leadership positions in state enterprises. For crimes endangering national security it is mandatory; for life sentences and executions it is lifelong.
