Founded in Shenzhen in December 2013 by Pete Lau (刘作虎), a former OPPO VP, with the slogan 'Never Settle'. OnePlus grew first in India and Europe by selling near-flagship hardware at aggressive prices through invite-only online drops. Since 2021 it has been fully merged under BBK/OPPO, sharing OxygenOS/ColorOS internals with parent OPPO's phones.
