usage
The opposite is 开幕 (kāimù) = to open / opening ceremony. 闭幕式 (bìmù shì) = closing ceremony. 开幕式 (kāimù shì) = opening ceremony.
usage
闭幕 is used for formal events: conferences, exhibitions, games, festivals. For casual endings, use 结束 (jiéshù) instead.
