history

In 《皇极经世》 he built a history of the cosmos out of numbers drawn from the 《周易》, and he is counted among the five founding thinkers of Northern Song 理学 (Neo-Confucianism). He is also called 邵康节, after his posthumous name, and fortune-tellers still credit him with 梅花易数, "plum-blossom numerology".
