Multi-part Western names use a middle dot (·, called 间隔号 jiàngéhào) between given name and surname: 罗伯特 = Robert, 格雷史密斯 = Graysmith. The 史 inside Graysmith is just transliteration of 'smith' — don't read it as the Chinese surname 史 (Shǐ).
