Tips

culture
Orthographic borrowing from Japanese 父上 (chichi-ue), an old samurai-era honorific for one's father. In Chinese the word entered the internet via anime/manga fans (二次元), and is used as ironically grand address for dad. Pair-form (mǔshàng) for mom is equally common.
register
Internet/casual only — never appears in formal writing. Tone is playful, almost cosplay-like; using it with your actual father will read as a joke.
