火车站广场

The 站前广场 ('station-front square') is a signature feature of Chinese railway station design — a broad open plaza meant to absorb passenger flow, especially during 春运 (Spring Festival travel rush). Before smartphones it was the default meeting point for anyone arriving in a city. Urban-planning critics call these plazas 'visual showcases' that often sit empty outside holidays.

Three-part compound: [火车站] + [广场]. You'll see the same pattern for 机场广场 (airport plaza), 汽车站广场 (bus station plaza). 广场 by itself means 'square/plaza' — compare 天安门广场 (Tiananmen Square).
