A coal-and-steel city in Liaoning whose 抚顺战犯管理所 (Fushun War Criminals Management Centre) held last-emperor Puyi from 1950 until 1959, along with Japanese POWs. Puyi's autobiography 《我的前半生》 was written there — later filmed as Bertolucci's "The Last Emperor".
