后备箱 is mainland Chinese. In Taiwan, the car trunk is called 后车厢 (hòu chēxiāng) or 行李箱 (xínglǐxiāng). In recent years, 后备箱集市 (hòubèixiāng jíshì, 'trunk market') became trendy in China — people sell goods out of their car trunks at night markets.
