卡拉别斯 (Karabas-Barabas) is the villainous puppet-master in Aleksey Tolstoy's 1936 Russian fairy tale The Golden Key, or the Adventures of Buratino — a Soviet adaptation of Pinocchio. He owns a puppet theater and enslaves the puppets. The character is well-known in Russian and Eastern European culture.
