加里曼丹岛 (Kalimantan) is the Indonesian name for the island the English-speaking world calls Borneo. Politically the island is split between Indonesia (Kalimantan, the southern two-thirds), Malaysia (Sabah and Sarawak), and Brunei. Chinese sources usually use
加里曼丹岛 when emphasizing the Indonesian portion and
婆罗洲 (Pó luó zhōu) for the whole island.
