Tips

culture
凤爪 (literally 'phoenix claws') is the polite menu name for chicken feet. The most famous version is steamed dim sum 豉汁凤爪 (black bean sauce), deep-fried then braised until the skin is gelatinous.
memory
Chinese cuisine often dresses up humble parts with poetic names: chicken = phoenix (凤), so chicken feet become 'phoenix claws'.
