A literary double-negative —
不 (not) +
无 (without). Used in essays, reviews, and editorial writing to make a measured concession:
不无道理 (has some validity),
不无可能 (not entirely impossible),
不无好处 (not without benefits). Sounds stiff in casual speech; native speakers prefer
也有点 or
还是有 in conversation.
