Not a species on its own —
白缘 (white margin) is a descriptive element in many Chinese species names:
白缘䱗 báiyuán'ān (white-edged minnow),
白缘真鲨 (silvertip shark),
白缘鸺鹠 (an owl). Xinhua also records a rare sense 'a kind of fruit tree'. In the animal-list corpus, the species-name component is the most likely reading.
