From Mao Zedong's 1949 poem 《
七律·
人民解放军占领南京》 ('The People's Liberation Army Takes Nanjing'):
钟山风雨起苍黄,
百万雄师过大江 — 'Storms in swirling yellow rise over Mount Zhong; a million-strong army crosses the great river.' The 'great river' is the Yangtze; the poem marks the PLA's capture of Nanjing on 23 April 1949.
