Luohu is Shenzhen's oldest central district and home to 罗湖口岸, historically the busiest land border crossing in the world — for decades it was the main gateway between mainland China and Hong Kong. On the Hong Kong side the corresponding station is 羅湖 (Lo Wu) on the East Rail Line.
